Tripotassium Phosphate

Molecular Formula: K3PO4                                   Molecular Weight: 212.26

CAS No.: 7778-53-2                                          EINECS No.: 231-907-1

Properties: White powder with strong hygroscopicity, readily absorbing moisture from air. Relative density: 2.564 g/cm³, melting point: 1340°C, highly soluble in water, exhibiting strong alkalinity.Insoluble in alcohols (e.g., ethanol), strongly corrosive – must avoid contact with skin or metal equipment.

Application: Anhydrous tripotassium phosphate serves as a versatile raw material in food processing, water treatment, and agricultural fertilizers due to its strong alkalinity, high water solubility, and multi-element composition.

1. Food Industry

Buffer & pH Regulator: Maintains stability in dairy and baked goods.

Emulsifying Salt: Enhances texture and meltability in processed cheese.

Yeast Nutrient: Accelerates fermentation.

Antioxidant Synergist: Extends food shelf life.

2. Boiler Water Treatment: Acts as a softening agent by chelating calcium/magnesium ions to prevent scale formation.

Alkaline environment suppresses pipeline corrosion, extending equipment lifespan.

3. Agriculture & Fertilizers: High-efficiency liquid compound fertilizer: Supplies phosphorus (P₂O₅ ≥ 32.8%) and potassium (K₂O ≥ 65.0%) to boost crop growth.Compatible with irrigation systems for high absorption efficiency.

Packaging & Storage: 20kg / 25kg PP PE woven bags. Keep in ventilated, dry areas; protect from moisture, high temperatures, and toxic substances.

Shelf life: 2 years
